With
her beginnings in 1984 as a self-taught artist, Dana
F. Brooks has in recent years added to her artistic
experience teaching from artists such as Vern Hippensteal
and Janice Sumler. By continually adding to her inventiveness,
Dana Brooks has allowed her creativity to spring forth
through the mediums of pen & ink, watercolor, acrylic
and oil over the past 20 years. Although it has
been by way of her favorite medium of pen & ink
that Dana has exemplified her true love of trees, nature
themes, and wildlife. She has the exceptional ability
to instill such an essence of life in her "storytelling"
trees and wildlife that you can hear the very rustling
of the leaves and singing of the songbirds. Additionally,
through her exceptional use of color and presentation,
Dana's florals seem to exhibit a unique smile flowing
with a vitality all its own.
